La Fille Bertha / Street Artist
La Fille Bertha, the pseudonym of Alessandra Maria Pulixi, is an Italian visual artist and illustrator whose background spans psychology, illustration, and visual arts.
She studied in Cagliari, Vienna, and Milan, and works both independently and in collaboration with art galleries and creative agencies across Italy, Europe, and internationally.
Her visual universe is richly inhabited by feminine-looking creatures with at times animalistic traits. Hermetic, ephemeral, and almost elusive, the protagonists of her works appear to float in a timeless dimension — a sort of rarefied reality often expressed through the use of pastel tones.
La Fille Bertha thus creates a deeply personal artistic expression, closely tied to emotional states, the subconscious, and the dreamlike dimension.
To develop her poetic language and creative projects, she explores a wide range of techniques and media (walls, canvas, paper, digital formats, fabric, wood, print).
Since 2011, she has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions, publications, and editorial projects in museums, art fairs, galleries, magazines, industry journals, artist residencies, and initiatives in contemporary art, fashion, illustration, and street art across Italy, Europe, the United States, Canada, and Asia.
Her works have been exhibited, among other venues, at La Triennale di Milano Design Museum, Arte Fiera Bologna, Museo Nivola, and were featured in a runway show at Museo Maxxi for Altaroma.
